At Playful Pack, we often get questions from busy pet guardians about our dog daycare and boarding. We’re always happy to help you navigate this season of your pup’s life and ensure you both have the most positive experience possible. Here’s everything you need to know!
Do you separate the dogs based on size?
Dogs come in all shapes and sizes, and their personalities can be as diverse as they are. Whether your dog is small and happiest in a lap or big, fluffy, and full of energy, we have a pack just right for them. We separate dogs based on their size, energy, and temperament to ensure they have the best possible experience.
Do you have outdoor space?
Each of our Playful Pack locations offers maximum play space. In counties that permit outdoor play areas, we have them. In counties that do not allow for outdoor spaces, we have turfed indoor potty areas and expansive play spaces where your pup can climb, jump, and parkour off our specially designed dog-friendly equipment.
Are the dogs forced into cage breaks?
Does your dog like to play all day long? Or do they occasionally get overstimulated and need periodic breaks? Either way, your pup will be happy at Playful Pack, where they can play all day, snooze on a cozy couch, or enjoy any combination of playing and resting that works for them.
Can my dog have a meal while at daycare?
Dogs thrive with a predictable routine, and that includes meals. There’s no need to disrupt their schedule just because you’re enrolling them in daycare. You’re welcome to bring your dog’s favorite meal, and we’ll make sure they’re fed on time. We can also provide meals with our house food for a small fee.
Do you offer walks?
We offer walks for a small additional fee to help your dog stay active, healthy, and happy.
What vaccines are required?
Before beginning daycare, your dog should be current on rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper vaccines to reduce the risk of illness.
Are the new dogs given an evaluation or test?
Every dog’s first Playful Pack visit will include a free Temperament Evaluation. This helps us better understand your dog’s needs and ensures they are developmentally ready to play with other dogs in a cage-free space. This also helps us get an idea of their social skills with both people and other dogs. Because Playful Pack is a leash-free, cage-free environment, this test is essential for ensuring positive interactions among all our packmates.
Do you share pictures of them playing?
Pup parents will receive a daily digital report card via email or text, and you can check in via live webcams in our indoor play areas and turf spaces whenever you want.
Are the dogs always supervised?
Our trained dog-loving staff members are present throughout the day in all spaces, supervising pups and maintaining our strict safety and hygiene standards.
Is there an online app?
Playful Pack uses Gingr, which includes a customer-facing app where you can schedule additional services, pay invoices, and manage your pup’s Playful Pack experience.
Do you provide any enrichment activities for the dogs during the day?
This is one of our favorite parts of dog daycare! We feature “PLAYtivities” daily, with new and exciting games for dogs to enjoy, including doggy discos, story time, bubble play, PACKuccino treats, agility courses, tunnels of fun, and more!
